Training Center Overview

LADERA CAREER PATHS TRAINING CENTERS (LCPTC), a division of Ladera Career Paths, Inc., offers instruction in the following specializations: · Medical Coder / Medical Biller / Health Claims Examiner MISSION Train and develop students for employment as health claims examiners, medical billers, medical records coders, and medical transcriptionists. All training is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the Health Information Management (HIM), Medical Billing and computer fields. LCPTC graduates are routinely employed by hospitals,medical offices, clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, insurance companies, HMO's, medical billing services, healthcare companies, and by employers who require thorough software application knowledge. Often our graduates have jobs waiting for them upon graduation. LCPTC offers students the flexibility to attend classes weekdays(Tuesday through Friday) and evenings (Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays). All course work is taught in modules (classes) that contain a specific number of clock hours; one clock hour requires a minimum of fifty (50) minutes of class instruction. STATE OF CALIFORNIA APPROVAL LCPTC programs are approved by the State of California's Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education in accordance with the provisions of the California Education Code for integrity, financial stability, and educational quality, including the offering of quality instruction by qualified faculty and the appropriate assessment of students' achievement prior to, and at the end of its programs.PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS Ladera Career Paths Training Centers is an active member of:* California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) * California Health Information Management Association American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA): For five years LCPTC was one of three schools who were approved by AHIMA for their Medical Records Coder (MRC) program. This approval has lapsed, and LCPTC has applied for recertification. |
